Reveal News is taking on the mission to start the change we need to see in The News and media. We can give news the balance we deserve to see by starting with highlighting real, positive stories to help us deal with the negative stories making them no less real but much less overwhelming.
This is an interactive app to help you connect with news and the people and places around you. The app combines passionate journalism, real positive change, and YOU to reveal a world that has a more hopeful future than the media portrays.
I have created an app where users collect hidden stories around the country through the QR codes displayed on posters where events have happened. Journalists will write the stories and place the QR codes. They will give tips so other users can share their own stories which are then verified and added to the app for users to find.
A social media campaign will divert people from using social media to find or interact with news where it can often be untrustworthy and instead get them involved in the app. This will be driven by the excitement of collecting stories and creating your own news that makes a positive difference.
